Online fitness training is becoming increasingly popular with those wanting ideas for exercises and suggestions for workouts that will help them reach a certain fitness training goal. At it’s simplest level online fitness training could mean searching on YouTube for and exercise of workout goal, for instance “strengthening hamstrings” and looking through the many exercise routine videos that will show up. This is not necessarily the best way to go for a number of reasons. Doing a single exercise out of context may not give you the end result you are looking for, you may even injure yourself.

With the explosion in popularity of online video there are now many sites offering online fitness training. Some do just follow the YouTube style of listing exercises.

If you want a complete online fitness training program that will take you through staged exercises, assessments and most importantly progressive exercise routines then take a look at the Boot Camp Training Online 6 week online fitness training course.

Exercises and stretches should be developmental when cooling down, this will help you increase flexibility. This is opposed to dynamic, (involve movement), when warming up. In this fitness video podcast personal trainer, Boris Stone, is joined by Katie to show you a variety of cool down exercises and stretches for calf muscles, glutes, hamstrings, quads, back & spine, in order to help get rid of lactic acid and toxins and reduce the chance of injury, strained ligaments and muscles.

DOMS, Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness, the pain that can often be experienced the day after exercise, can be significantly reduced by a good cool down stretching routine.

Cool down stretches can be done alone but here Boris shows the advantage of working with a partner to help increase the range of stretches possible.
